WordPress 2.5+ Tutorial – How to Wrap Text Around an Image
This beginner-level tutorial by Mark McLaren of McBuzz Communications teaches you to wrap text around an image using WordPress version 2.5 or later. And it shows how to insert an image and align it left, right or center.
In earlier version 2.3 and earlier of WordPress, it was necessary to use the Code (HTML) editing window to insert a bit of HTML (using cascading style sheets) to get images and text to line up right.
WordPress 2.5 and 2.6 improve text wrapping. Additional HTML code is not necessary. Just use the Add an Image dialog box to set image alignment, and text wraps nicely and aligns well with the image.

The Best Blogging Software Around – Wordpress
http://quesomanrulz.com – Hello again everyone, this video tutorial is about Wordpress and how to install and use some of it’s basic features. Two ways of installing Wordpress are covered, Fantastico and Manual. Fantastico is preferred by most people and me, it makes the process simpler. If you have access to Fantastico then you should definitely use that. http://byethost.com and http://000webhost.com both have the Fantastico service available for their free users. I use http://byethost.com and would suggest that. Thanks to BlackJackEnt for suggesting this tutorial.

Wordpress tutorial – How to correctly Copy/Paste text from word to wordpress
This is a brief tutorial created for the contributors, authors, and editors of the blog/site hopculture.org. although it was specifically made for that site it gives a general idea of how to properly copy/paste text content from Microsoft Word into Wordpress 2.7
Copying text from Microsoft Word into Wordpress is a great way to be able to work on a blog post locally on your computer or while not connected to the Internet but pasting it into Wordpress has its downsides. One of the most notable issues is that Word is a Rich Text edito and usually embeds formatting into it’s text. When you try to copy/paste into wordpress that Rich text formatting is usually carried into the post and this creates unncessary HTML formatting tags that may cause inconsistency in your blogs look and feel. Also if not properly done (I have experienced this) it may even take your blog offline due to “dirty code”
Wordpress has created 2 WYSIWYG buttons to import text into your post. 1) from Microsoft Word 2) as plain text. In using the “paste from word” button is where our blog has gone offline and by researching a bit I noticed that it creates a media object (i.e flash) that for some reason Wordpress hangs while loading the page (this may not happen to you, it’s a sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t error).
Never-the-less I always resort to using the “paste as plain text” button.
It has never let me down.

WordPress Tutorial – Edit a Sidebar File Using a Text Editor
This Advanced-level WordPress tutorial shows how to download, edit and upload a WordPress theme sidebar file (sidebar.php) using FTP software and a text editor. This is considered an advanced WordPress tutorial because you work with the files for the WordPress theme. You do not use the WordPress Dashboard in this tutorial. The tutorial assumes you know how to setup and use FTP software on your computer so that you can download and upload the sidebar file. It also assumes you know how to open a text file like sidebar.php using a text editor. On a PC, common text editors are Notepad and Wordpad. On a Mac, the default text editor is TextEdit. A good Macintosh text editor for HTML and PHP files is BBEdit.

WordPress Tutorial – Use Text Widget to Customize Sidebar 2
This is PART TWO of the Intermediate level WordPress tutorial that shows how to use a text widget to customize a WordPress sidebar. To see the final product of the tutorial in the Business Blogging 101 website and the HTML code used in this example, go to http://mcbuzz.wordpress.com and search for “text widget”.
Widgets are a very useful feature of most new WordPress themes. They allow you to add custom content to your sidebars with little or no knowledge of HTML or other code.
The example I use in this tutorial shows how to create a custom text box with a short biographical note and part of that text is a link.
In this PART TWO of the tutorial, I show how to insert an image into the same custom sidebar box, along with a LinkedIn profile “badge”.
You can use these techniques to put whatever you want into your own WordPress sidebar.

WordPress Tutorial – How to Wrap Text Around an Image
PLEASE NOTE: This Intermediate-level tutorial is for WordPress version 2.3 and earlier. To wrap text around an image in version 2.5 or later, see the new tutorials in the mcbuzzvideo collection called “WordPress 2.5+ Tutorial – How to Upload and Insert an Image” and “WordPress 2.5+ Tutorial – How to Wrap Text Around an Image”. The second technique in this tutorial works for any HTML page, whether you use WordPress or not. If you need more control over how an image is positioned relative to text wrapping around it, you can use this technique (even in WordPress version 2.5 or later).
This tutorial shows two ways to position an image on the left or right side in the body of a WordPress Post or Page, and how to wrap text around the image. The first way is quick and easy to do. The second way gives you more control over the image’s position and the padding or “air” around the image. It’s an Intermediate-level WordPress tutorial because the second of the two ways shows you how to insert a bit of HTML code using the WordPress Code editing window.
